Lara and David - Southlands Barn

Lara & David opted for a traditional white and green assortment of wedding flowers, alongside a three tiered white wedding cake and beautiful aisle decor.

Their wedding ceremony and reception was held at the stunning Southlands Barn in West Chiltington. It is the perfect setting for a barn wedding in Sussex, with one barn used for the ceremony, and a separate barn for your wedding reception. There is a bar that ties both barns together, so the flow is excellent. There are even a couple of peacocks on site!
Lara and David asked us to provide their wedding flowers, opting for traditional wedding colours of white and green. They specifically asked us to provide white roses, which were stunning. We created a bridal bouquet with the beautiful roses, eucalyptus, veronica and lisianthus. The stems were wrapped in a white ribbon to finish it off. The bridesmaids bouquets mirrored the bridal bouquet but on a smaller scale, as well as mini bunches of gypsophila for the flower girls, all finished with white ribbon.
The couples dog, Dougie, was the ring bearer, so naturally they also wanted him featured on their wedding cake. If you’re looking for a way to include your dog in your wedding, this is how you do it! They had a three tier, white cake finished with white chocolate ganache, and flowers from Beachtown Blooms. For the wedding cake flavours, they chose; red velvet, sea salt chocolate and white chocolate and raspberry. Dougie, was peeping out from underneath the bottom tier of the cake, so cute!
Lara and David also asked us to provide some venue decor, which included aisle chair sashes, hurricane vases with pillar candles and bud vases. Take a look at our prop hire page if you’re looking for helping with your wedding decoration.
